Our Approach.
To bring OMAKAI’s vision to life, we grounded the identity in the essence of Japanese culinary culture: authenticity, elegance, and sincerity.
The wordmark features a tall, geometric sans serif typeface—modern, clean, and intentionally understated. It sets a tone of quiet confidence and elevates the brand’s minimalist personality.
At the heart of the visual identity is a distinctive fish brandmark—an expressive, hand-drawn illustration that delivers instant recognition and timeless character.
Color and texture played a pivotal role. A palette of neutral tones and deep sea hues created a versatile, understated backdrop across all touchpoints—allowing the food and experience to shine.
